Passive Fire Protection Surveys

Passive fire protection is a legal requirement in nearly all buildings across England and Wales under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Building owners or managers have a responsibility to ensure statutory duties are met to safeguard occupants and protect the structural integrity of the premises.

Our passive fire protection surveys cover all elements of internal PFP, such as

  • Fire door surveys
  • Full compartmentation surveys, including fire risk assessments
  • Damper inspections
  • Remediation work where possible rather than costly replacements

At Adaston, we have experience in surveying a range of sectors and building types, from hospitals to education settings. Whether your building is commercial or residential, we have a reputation for delivering comprehensive yet discreet passive fire protection surveys. Contact us today for further information.

Passive Fire Protection Consultancy

As your expert passive fire protection consultant, we offer independent third party oversight on all aspects of passive fire protection. Whether you’re looking for general fire safety advice or a bespoke package for your next development project, our consultancy services are tailored to your needs.

For new build projects at the construction phase, we offer advice to the top level of the project or site management team and report directly to the client on the quality level of installations. We ensure any issues found are remediated and tracked, giving clients not only a golden thread of information but also total confidence in the safety and efficiency of installed passive fire protection. Once we’re satisfied with the installed measures, we provide an independent and 3rd party letter of compliance, which is often required by insurance companies.

Consultancy services ensure fire safety measures are correct from the start, saving valuable time and money on remediation work further down the line. Contact us today to discuss your requirements.

Recording Vital Information

Following Dame Judith Hackitt’s review of the tragedy at Grenfell, there are changes to how building information must be stored. As per the Building Safety Act, there must now be a “golden thread” of information detailing key building details and implemented safety measures.

There are strict regulations around what you need to record and how this information must be stored. It must cover both the design/construction phase and once the building is occupied. This includes having an accurate and up-to-date digital record of the necessary details.

All work completed by Adaston is recorded in a way compliant with these new regulations and backed by ISO9001, the international standard for quality management. To take the hassle out of your fire safety management, get in touch for a complete and bespoke action plan.
